Morten Harket sang for Statoil

Morten Harket performed new material exclusively for Statoil employees in Olavshallen last night [3.January].

The program is always kept secret from the guests at Statoil's New Year's concert in Trondheim. Last night, Morten Harket was the secret surprise guest that ended the concert for the employees in Olavshallen. Since Princess Märtha Louise was last year's main guest and read fairytales for the Statoil employees, Harket was introduced to the audience as the prince and
"Askeladd" of the evening. He was accompanied by Kjetil Bjerkestrand on piano and TrondheimSolistene.

"We haven't rehearsed that much, so I'm excited", a modest Harket told the audience before he performed a slow song, followed by several other newly-written songs. The Statoil employees became a test audience for the brand new material, which Harket pointed out was still very fresh to him. He was met by a big round of applause.

"Thank you. I guess I should go home and continue writing", Harket smiled to the audience.
